About Me

Background

I'm a full-stack software engineer with over 11 years of experience delivering production software across enterprise, fintech, and SaaS domains, primarily in C# / .NET and React. Most of my career has been spent as a core contributor to a large-scale enterprise Benefits Administration platform, working across backend systems, REST APIs, React frontends, SQL Server, and ETL pipelines.

Over time I grew from individual contributor to technical lead, then into a formal people manager role, owning the APAC shift team, running code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating cross-timezone delivery with stakeholders in the US. I care about code quality, clean architecture, and making sure the people on my team have what they need to do their best work.

Career highlights

My career started in banking. I spent three and a half years at EastWest Bank as a programmer/analyst, working through a core banking system transformation and building the internal tooling that kept operations running. It was detail-heavy work and it taught me a lot about writing software that actually has to work.

From there I moved into software R&D at Deltek, where I built internal developer tools and maintained an automation framework used across the company's full product suite. It was my first real taste of engineering for other engineers, and I loved it.

Since 2019 I've been at WTW in Manila, working on BenefitConnect. It is a large-scale enterprise benefits administration platform serving over 100 global clients. I started as a full-stack engineer, and eventually moved into people management, owning the APAC shift team. Long tenure, a lot of growth.

Languages

English is my primary working language. It's what I write code in, communicate across timezones in, and think in day to day. Filipino / Tagalog is my mother tongue. I'm currently actively learning Polish slowly but with intention.
